The Houston Texans have reportedly released veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson.
The 33-year-old was put on the trade block by the club after he baulked at the idea of playing a limited role in their offense in the 2015 season.
However, none of the other 31 NFL teams expressed an interest in trading for Johnson, which has led the Texans to release him, ending his 12-year career with the AFC South outfit, according to several media outlets.
Johnson is the Texans' all-time leading receiver, recording 1,012 receptions for 13,597 yards along with 64 touchdowns after being selected in the first round of the 2003 Draft.
