Indianapolis Colts defensive back Mike Adams has admitted that his side's defeat to the Dallas Cowboys was "embarrassing".
The Colts slipped to a 42-7 loss to the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, conceding 28 points in the first half alone as Tony Romo picked apart their defense with a three-touchdown performance.
Adam believes that his side missed their chance to make a statement against a playoff-calibre team on the road.
"No question, this was our opportunity to show we belonged," Adams told reporters. "It might not have been enough emphasis put on that. I'm not talking about the coaches, but from us as players.
"It's about knowing and understanding the situation. This is a playoff game. This is what we're going to see -- that and much better. To come out here like that, it's embarrassing. It's not good."
The Colts currently hold the number four seed in the AFC conference with a 10-5 record.
