Indianapolis Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw has admitted that he played a role in convincing wide receiver Hakeem Nicks to sign with the club.
Bradshaw was teammates with Nicks at the New York Giants for four years, and will now link up at the Colts after the 26-year-old penned a one-year deal with Chuck Pagano's side.
The running back told the Indianapolis Star: "I went to his house a week before his signing and was just telling him how great it is over here. I think it kind of helped his decision. I was really encouraging him to come over.
"Coach [Chuck Pagano] texted me and [said], 'Is this going to be a great [signing]?' I said, 'Coach, this will help us and our team tremendously.'"
Nicks recorded 56 receptions for 856 yards in the 2013 season, but failed to score a touchdown for the Giants.
