Indianapolis Colts running back Dan Herron has admitted that he is loving his time as the team's 'go-to' player on offense.
An injury to first-choice Ahmad Bradshaw gave Herron his chance, and his team have gone 7-1 since his introduction in week 12.
With teams also doubling up on star receiver TY Hilton, Herron has been able to contribute excellently in the passing game as well as gain yards on the ground.
The 25-year-old told The Indy Star: "When the opportunity comes, you just have to really seize it and really take advantage of it.
"My goal was always to come in here and get better each and every day; try to show the coaches something different each and every day.
"Whether that be pass-blocking, running the ball, catching the ball out of the backfield, special teams, whatever it may be to get on this team. I'm still working, still not satisfied."
Herron and his team take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game on Sunday night in Foxborough.
