Reggie Wayne has said that he is "proud" of his Indianapolis Colts teammates' performances during the 2013 campaign.
The wide receiver tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the first half of the season, leaving the AFC South side without their leading receiver for the rest of the year.
The 35-year-old told WNDE: "You saw that whole room grow. It was good for them to see that they could go out there and play at this level, at a high level.
"Those guys really did a great job. I'm proud of them. They had some nicks and bruises that they played through all year.
"TY Hilton is a young player but he's a young player that understands what it means to be a pro. I was actually sitting down with him [last week] and we looked at the season and I told him, 'I'm proud of you, man. You put us on your shoulders and you did your best'. At the end of the day, that's all that you can ask for."
Wayne is expected to be ready for the team's minicamp in May.
