The Indianapolis Colts have announced that they have signed veteran defensive back Dwight Lowery.
The 29-year-old was allowed to leave the Atlanta Falcons at the end of the 2014 campaign, despite having a productive year for the NFC South outfit.
Chuck Pagano's men have moved to sign Lowery to a short-term deal to boost their depth in their secondary for the 2015 season, following the departures of Sergio Brown and LaRon Landry.
Lowery has recorded 259 tackles, four sacks and 12 interceptions in his seven-year NFL career.
