Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch has revealed that the club will be using running back Toby Gerhart as their "workhorse" for the 2014 season.
The Jaguars allowed Maurice Jones-Drew to leave the club in the off-season and signed Gerhart from the Minnesota Vikings to replace him in their backfield.
With a shortage of numbers at running back for the Jaguars, Fisch has admitted that Gerhart will be seeing a lot of the ball due to his diverse skill set.
"Toby will be our workhorse," Fisch told the Florida Times-Union.
"Toby has the ability to do it all. He can catch it well. He can pass protect well, and he's going to be in the game a lot on third down, base downs, short-yardage, passing downs."
The 27-year-old has a total of 1,905 yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns in his four years in the NFL.
