Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas has insisted that he isn't fazed by the criticism he receives as being a product of Peyton Manning.
Thomas had one career reception before Manning's arrival in Denver, but left the team this year as a Pro Bowler with 109 catches and 24 touchdowns.
He will now face a different challenge with Blake Bortles in Jacksonville, but isn't allowing the criticism to affect him.
"I'm hoping that five or six years from now they are saying, 'You still aren't any good,'" Thomas said, Jacksonville.com reports.
"You caught passes from Peyton and now you caught passes from Blake. Those guys did all the work. You're 6-5, put your hands out and the ball just stuck to it."
Thomas was one of the best free agents on the market this off-season, and will be desperate to prove he can make a star out of his new quarterback.
