Jacksonville Jaguars are planning to sign Tim Tebow for the 2013 NFL season, according to a report.
ESPN have claimed that the move is "a virtual certainty" as the quarterback has rarely featured for the New York Jets this season.
The 25-year-old expressed his disappointment at not being made starter for the Jets this weekend, and is expected to request to be released at the end of the current campaign.
The Jaguars' EverBank Field is close to the University of Florida's football stadium, where Tebow played his college football and won the 2007 Heisman Trophy.
Jacksonville have won just two games so far this season with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne at quarterback.
