Paul Posluszny has revealed his delight over extending his contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The 30-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of the 2016 season, but the club and the linebacker have agreed to add an extra year to his contract.
"It's special to me, and I consider myself very fortunate," Posluszny told the club's official website. "I wanted to do everything I could to play for Jacksonville as long as I could.
"I want to be a part of this organisation and I wanted to do everything I could to be here. This was a great opportunity for us to extend the contract and to give me another opportunity to compete with the Jaguars."
Posluszny has spent the last four seasons with the Jaguars, and recorded 69 tackles and two sacks in seven matches in the 2014 campaign.
