Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali has expressed his belief that his side stood up to the test of taking on the powerful running game of the Seattle Seahawks.
Andy Reid's men recorded their seventh win of the season as they beat the Seahawks 24-20 in their clash at Arrowhead Stadium to put themselves in contention for the AFC West title.
The match hinged on the Chiefs' ability to stop Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson in the running game, and although the Seahawks managed to put up 204 yards, they were stopped at critical moments by the home side.
"We embraced this challenge," Hali told reporters. "If you can't stop the run in this league, it's dangerous. We met the challenge. I'm sure they rushed for a lot of yards but we kept the points off the board."
The Chiefs can move to the top of the AFC West with a victory over the Oakland Raiders on Thursday.
