Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid has revealed that he regrets not using running back Jamaal Charles enough in the 22-17 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Charles ended the game with 15 carries for 80 yards and one catch for four, with the Chiefs opting to throw multiple times on third-and-shorts.
"If we had that to do over again, and this is hindsight, but I'd probably come back and hand it to him and give him an opportunity to make that play," Reid conceded, as reported by ESPN.
It is the second time in five games so far this season that Reid has admitted that he should have utilised his running back better, and he insists that he will not make the same mistake again.
