Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston is adamant that he is not thinking about a new contract with the club as his rookie deal prepares to expire at the end of the 2014 season.
The 25-year-old has notched 10 sacks for the Chiefs this season in just seven games, and is currently on pace to break Michael Strahan's NFL record of 22.5 set in the 2001 campaign.
"I'll worry about that at the end of the season," Houston told the Kansas City Star. "I can't let that get in my head at all. I don't want it to slow me or affect what I'm doing on the field.
"I just want to continue play as I'm playing and continue to make plays."
Houston has recorded 36.5 sacks since entering the NFL in the 2011 season.
