Miami Dolphins first-round Draft pick Ja'Wuan James has admitted that it felt good to return to playing having taken part in the team's rookie training camp.
Offensive tackle James, who was selected as the 19th overall pick, said that the transition to the NFL has so far been smooth as there are many similarities with the offense he was a part of with the Tennessee Volunteers.
"It felt good to get back out here," he told the Dolphins' official website. "I haven't played football in a long time. We've been practicing to be track stars through this whole draft process, so it's good going out there and competing.
"It's been going good. It's a lot of similarities to the stuff coach Jones brought my senior year, that zone read stuff. It's definitely picking up smooth."
James has also said that he wanted to use the off-season to hone his technique.
