Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has expressed his belief that the team should look to acquire quarterback Michael Vick in this year's free agency.
The Vikings are in need of a quarterback after Matt Cassel opted out of his 2014 contract and Josh Freeman became a free agent himself, leaving Christian Ponder as the only option currently available.
Vick will join Cassel, Freeman, Josh McCown and David Garrard on the market having lost his starting job to Nick Foles at the Philadelphia Eagles last season following a hamstring injury.
Peterson believes that the 34-year-old would be perfect for his team and would immediately turn them into playoff contenders.
Vick, who has not yet ruled out returning to the Eagles, has struggled with injuries throughout his career, only completing a full 16-match season once, in 2006.
