Christian Ponder has claimed that he is in control of how the fans perceive him as the Minnesota Vikings prepare to seal a place in the NFL playoffs.
The Vikings need to beat the Green Bay Packers to ensure they clinch a wildcard spot in the postseason.
The Minnesota quarterback told the Star Tribune: "I think everyone judges me a lot every Sunday. "We'll see what happens on this Sunday, but obviously this is a big game for this organisation and for my career.
"I'm in charge of how people scrutinise me. Obviously, if I play well, it's a good thing, and if I play bad, it's bad thing. I can control all that with how I play on the field."
The Packers already have a playoff berth, but will be looking for a win to earn a bye week.
