Bill Belichick has said that the New England Patriots did a "terrific job" to reach the AFC championship game for the third season in a row.
The AFC East champions beat the Indianapolis Colts 43-22 last night, setting up a championship game with either the Denver Broncos or the San Diego Chargers next weekend.
The head coach told reporters: "I thought it was a great job by all our players tonight. I thought they really did a terrific job. We had a good week of preparation. Everybody was ready to go. We got some big plays from all three phases of the game, got off a good start, we were able to play from ahead.
"I'm really proud of our football team and looking forward to moving on to a bigger game next week. This is a good win for us. I thought those guys really did a good job.
"We like to win. So, whatever we need to do to win really is good with me. Win running, win throwing, win shutting them out, win outscoring them, win in the kicking game, whatever it takes. We just have to find a way to do it this time of year. Every team we play is good. Every game is bigger than the next. We just have to try to find some way to come out on top next week. That's really all it is."
The Patriots have reached five Super Bowls, winning three, since 2001.
