New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has revealed that he will be playing in his side's 2014 season opener.
The 25-year-old tore his ACL at the end of the 2013 season which required surgery in January, and consequently Gronkowski missed all of his side's pre-season games and part of their off-season activities.
However, he has made significant progress in his recovery on the training field in the past few weeks and is ready to face the Miami Dolphins on Sunday
Gronkowski told reporters: "I'm ready to go. I'll be playing. [I'm] definitely not [playing] every single snap. But just get out there, get my feet wet, whatever we game-plan this week, will be good."
The All-Pro recorded 39 receptions for 592 yards and four touchdowns in seven games in the 2013 season.
