New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen will reportedly be out for several weeks with a broken bone in his wrist.
The 24-year-old sustained the injury against the Buffalo Bills during his side's win on the opening day of the season.
Veeren will undergo surgery this week to repair the damage but is unlikely to return to action until at least week six, reports Fox Sports.
The running back had a career day against the Bills running for over 100 yards for the first time in the NFL and also had seven catches for 58 yards.
