The New England Patriots have agreed to hand cornerback Tarell Brown a one-year deal ahead of training camp next week.
Brown reportedly met with the organisation twice this off-season, before finally agreeing to his new contract with his new team.
Having lost Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner this summer, Patriots coach Bill Belichick has made adding depth at the cornerback position a priority.
After spending his first seven years in the league with the San Francisco 49ers, Brown played 1,000 snaps in 14 games for the Oakland Raiders last season.
