The New England Patriots have re-signed defensive tackle Alan Branch on a two-year contract, according to the player's agent.
The 30-year-old signed for the Patriots midway through the 2014 season following his release by the Buffalo Bills, and went on to play a solid role in the club's triumph in the Super Bowl.
Branch was allowed to test the free-agent market by the Patriots, but the AFC East outfit have apparently brought him back into the fold on a two-year deal worth $6.6m [£4.47m].
His agent Blake Baratz said on Twitter: "Congrats to Alan Branch on agreeing to return to the world champion @patriots. This is a great fit & his best football is coming in '15!"
The defensive tackle recorded 13 tackles in eight games for the Patriots last season.
