New Orleans Saints DE Cameron Jordan admits that he would rather win the Super Bowl in his hometown than be considered 'elite' like JJ Watt or Von Miller.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan has revealed his targets for the upcoming NFL campaign.

Jordan recorded an impressive 12.5 sacks last season, as well as making more quarterback hurries (50) than any other player lining up in a 3-4 system.

The 24-year-old is now hopeful of further improvement, although he did also state that he is not bothered about matching the numbers of league stars JJ Watt or Von Miller if it means winning the Super Bowl.

He told NFL Media: "I'd like to average one sack a game. But what's really truly important is just the whole d-line getting after quarterbacks.

"It's great that guys are having these astronomical numbers in different years and different stages, that just shows you the type of talent that was coming out in my year (2011). But I don't know if I care to be in that conversation with Watt or whoever.

"I want a Super Bowl. I'm heading into my fourth year, and I need it. And it's in Arizona this year. I'm from there, and I need it."

The Saints lost in the divisional round of the playoffs last season, going out to eventual winners the Seattle Seahawks.
