New York Giants star Victor Cruz has pencilled in a return for week one of next season as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.
Cruz suffered a patellar tendon tear six months ago, and general manager Jerry Reese has moved to take a more cautious approach with the receiver.
Reese added that the wideout has looked impressive this off-season, but more will be known as he gets playing time out on the field.
"There's zero doubts that I'll be playing in that first game," Cruz said, NFL.com reports.
Cruz conceded that the mental aspect of his comeback will be the most difficult, but reveals that learning to be patient has been key in his recovery process.
