New York Giants star Victor Cruz has offered teammate and fellow receiver Odell Beckham some advice as his profile continues to grow.
Cruz has warned the 22-year-old to be wary of what he tells the media, as anything he now says could become a headline in New York.
"I just told him to make sure he watches his words and make sure he's mindful of the things that he says," Cruz said on Sirius XM.
"Because anything that he says can become a headline. He just has to be very very careful of that, even when he means well or says the right things."
Cruz experienced a similar rise to stardom as Beckham, and has warned him of the negative response he can receive in certain situations.
