Victor Cruz has said that he wants to see Hakeem Nicks remain with the New York Giants for the 2014 NFL season.
The wide receiver, who has missed time with injuries in the last two seasons, is due to become a free agent next month.
Cruz, who secured a long-term contract with the Giants last off-season, told The Star-Ledger: "I have [asked him to stay]. Selfishly, I would love for him to stay."
Nicks recorded 896 receiving yards and failed to score a touchdown.
