New York Giants safety Stevie Brown has said that he is making solid steps as he continues his recovery from an ACL injury which saw him miss the whole of the 2013 season.
Having torn his ligament in pre-season, Brown is now four months into his rehab, and has confirmed that he is now able to run on his surgically-repaired knee.
Brown becomes an unrestricted free agent on March 11, but is hoping that if he can prove his fitness, the Giants will offer him another year with them.
He told Giants.com: "I'm about to start doing side-to-side stuff here soon. But it feels strong. It feels stable. I couldn't ask for it to be better at the stage that it's in.
"This is a great team. It's a great organization, great people around here all the time, a great fan base - everything like that. So it's definitely a place I want to be. It's just now we've got to talk to everybody upstairs and see where it goes from there."
Brown had stints with the Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers, and Indianapolis Colts before his breakout campaign in New York in 2012.
