New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has revealed that he feels a lot more comfortable in his side's offense going into his second year with coordinator Ben McAdoo.
McAdoo was brought in by the club to replace Kevin Gilbride, who retired after the 2013 season, but the Giants had initial problems getting into sync on the offensive side of the ball in the 2014 campaign.
However, Manning slowly developed a rapport with Odell Beckham Jr as he began to find a rhythm late in the season to end on a high note, and is now optimistic heading into the 2015 campaign.
"It was important having this last month - watching the film, talking a lot about the mechanics, the footwork, being able to go outside with him and working on a lot of drill work," Manning told the club's official website.
"A lot of it is stuff I wasn't able to do last year. I was coming off the ankle surgery, I had a new offense - of lot of things going through the mind, trying to figure out concepts.
"This year, I understand the concepts. I'm still working on it, but I'm concentrating on the footwork and the mechanics and the timing of everything. It was great to have that this year and kind of get back to the basics of everything. I feel comfortable, I feel real good right now."
Manning threw for 4,410 yards and 30 touchdowns to 14 interceptions for the Giants last season.
