New York Giants running back David Wilson has declared that he will be ready for action as soon as his doctor gives the all-clear.
Wilson sustained a horror neck injury last season and it was initially feared that his football career would be over.
However, he has turned up at Giants off-season workouts in good spirits, having stated that he has no pain or any symptoms in his neck following surgery to fuse his vertebrae in January.
"As soon as the doctor sees what he wants to see, then I'm good," Wilson told the New York Daily News. "Right now the doctor said I'm doing really well and I'm ahead of schedule. That's positive things to hear.
"When I'm going to see all the doctors, I passed every test except for picture and that's the only reason I'm not on the field yet. So right now we just need to get the MRI photograph that we need and I'm good."
Wilson appeared just five times last season, scoring a single touchdown and only rushing for 146 yards.
