New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady led two 80-yard touchdown drives as his team beat the Philadelphia Eagles 31-22.

Michael Vick kept the Eagles in check early on, finding DeSean Jackson with a 47-yard touchdown pass, but efforts from Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and two from LeGarrette Blount kept the Patriots in front.

Matt Barkley played the most snaps at quarterback for the Eagles, completing 11 of his 22 attempts for 103 yards, while Tim Tebow featured for the Patriots in the second half, making 55 passing yards and rushing for 31.

The Green Bay Packers were kept off the score board as they were beaten 17-0 by the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field.

Stepfan Taylor led the rushing effort for the NFC West team, carrying the ball for 64 yards from 21 attempts.

Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers played just one series, but was able to connect with wide receiver James Jones with a 50-yard pass, before the team focused on giving game time to backups Graham Harrell and Vince Young.

Two interceptions from Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman helped the team beat the Chicago Bears in their first action of the pre-season.

Norman picked off Jay Cutler's opening play for the Bears, before a second interception was returned 60 yards for a touchdown.

Cam Newton attempted just six passes for the Panthers, but was able to connect with Brandon LaFell for an early touchdown.

A strong second-half performance from the Houston Texans saw the AFC South champions come from behind to beat the Minnesota Vikings.

First-round draft pick DeAndre Hopkins scored his first NFL touchdown, catching a 34-yard pass from TJ Yates in the second quarter.

Further touchdowns from Lestar Jean and Ray Graham helped the Texans overturn a half-time deficit, while the Vikings were unable to add to their score after the break.

The Detroit Lions were the only NFC North side to take a win, beating the New York Jets 26-17.

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez threw an interception at the start of the game, which Lions rookie Ziggy Ansah returned for a touchdown, but he recovered to complete 125 passing yards, finding Jeff Cumberland in the end zone during the first quarter.

Geno Smith completed six of his seven attempts, but was forced to leave the game early with an ankle injury.

The Miami Dolphins cruised past the Jacksonville Jaguars to give head coach Joe Philbin his first pre-season win with the team.

Ryan Tannehill made a 22-yard touchdown pass to Dustin Keller early on, before Jonas Gray added two rushing touchdowns for the AFC East side.

Chad Henne edged the battle of the Jaguars quarterbacks, recording 87 passing yards from eight of 11 attempts, compared to Blaine Gabbert, who completed half of his passes for 19 yards and threw an interception.

The Oakland Raiders were able to edge out the Dallas Cowboys, winning 19-17.

Brice Butler scored the Raiders' only touchdown of the game, picking up a 30-yard pass from Matthew McGloin in the third quarter.

Terrell Pryor and Nick Stephens both threw interceptions as neither side was able to control the game on offense.
