The New York Jets are poised to confirm that head coach Rex Ryan will continue in his role next season, according to a report.
Ryan reportedly told his players that he will leave the club at the end of the season after missing the playoffs for the third-straight season.
However, an upturn in form along with promising play from the younger players in the team has led to a change of heart from general manager John Idzik and owner Woody Johnson, reports the New York Daily News.
The Jets can finish 8-8 in their season with a win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
