New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has insisted that he has a good relationship with general manager John Idzik, despite a lack of activity so far in the free agency period.
Ryan said that he has been frustrated that several players, including Darrelle Revis, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Antonio Cromartie, opted for other teams this off-season but does not blame Idzik for that.
"I'm an emotional guy, and sometimes I do get upset if a guy is in here and he chooses to go somewhere else," NFL.com quotes Ryan as saying. "[But] more with that individual, like, 'Golly, can he not see what we have here?'
"But as far as upset with John? There can't be anything further from the truth than that. We have a plan and we are together. We are side by side on this the entire way.
"We're in good hands because John Idzik is our general manager."
The Jets broke even with 8-8 last season, finishing second in the AFC East.
