New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has issued a warning to the New England Patriots that they face a fight on their hands to win the AFC East this year.
Bill Belichick's side have won the division for the past five seasons and have won seven out of the 11 meetings against the Jets in Ryan's tenure with the club.
However, the 51-year-old is adamant that his will improve in the 2014 campaign to challenge the Patriots' dominance of the AFC East.
Ryan told the New York Post: "Somebody asked me if we focus on New England. Bullshit. We're focused on us.
"We're focused on us and how are we going to be better. I have to be honest, I don't worry about them. They need to worry about us. I think that's really where we're at now."
The Jets have failed to reach the playoffs in the past three seasons.
