The New York Jets ease past the Oakland Raiders in a high-scoring match to end their three-game losing streak.

The New York Jets put an end to their three-match losing streak with a 37-27 win over the Oakland Raiders this evening.

Nick Folk opened the scoring for the hosts with a 41-yard field goal at the end of the first drive of the match.

This lead was extended before the opening quarter was out as Jeremy Kerley rose highest in the endzone to pluck Geno Smith's 25-yard pass out of the air.

Sebastian Janikowski got the Raiders on the scoreboard early in the second quarter with a 41-yard kick, but Folk soon cancelled that out with a 23-yard field goal of his own.

The Jets then moved into a 17-point lead when Antonio Allen blocked a punt on the Raiders' three-yard line before recovering the ball for a simple touchdown.

The Raiders finally got their first touchdown of the match at the start of the third quarter, but it was worth the wait as Marcel Reece sped through the middle of the defense for a 63-yard score.

The hosts responded with a score of their own soon after, with Smith rushing for an eight-yard touchdown.

Oakland refused to give up and gave themselves a glimmer of hope once more when Rod Streater collected Matt McGloin's pass before running unchallenged into the endzone for a 48-yard score.

Folk added his third field goal of the contest at the end of the third quarter, but Janikowski responded with one of his own at the start of the fourth.

Chris Ivory killed off any hopes of a Raiders revival with 9:07 left of the match, however, as he showed great strength to bounce off five tackles on his way to a 15-yard score.

Oakland reduced the deficit back to 10 points when McGloin found Mychal Rivera in the endzone, but it was too little too late for the visitors as they lost their third match on the bounce.
