New York Jets coach Todd Bowles has suggested that the organisation could still add another quarterback to their roster this off-season.
The Jets already acquired veteran signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick who will challenge Geno Smith for the starting job next season.
However, speculation suggests that they could be willing to trade up in the NFL Draft in order to select Marcus Mariota.
"We want competition at every position," Bowles said, according to ESPN.
"Ryan is going to compete, as well as Geno is going to compete, and we hope to add somebody else to compete with them, along with [Matt] Simms."
Mariota, the Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon, is expected to be one of the top picks in the NFL Draft 2015, and Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan has hinted at trying to move up the board.
