Free agent Dwight Freeney has revealed that he needs to find a team that puts him in the "right situation" as he looks to extend his playing career in the NFL.
The 35-year-old defensive end spent much of his playing time at the Indianapolis Colts, but mostly recently turned out for the San Diego Chargers.
"A lot of it is up in the air," said Freeney, according to Sirius XM NFL Radio.
"I have aspirations to play, but the thing is I have to be in the right situation for me. I can't get put in a situation where I'm running away from the ball.
"I want to run toward the guy with the ball more than I'm running away."
Freeney first joined the Colts as a first-round Draft pick in 2002.
