Former NFL running back Herschel Walker has insisted that he is still in the right physical shape to be able to play in the league 17 years after his retirement.
Walker, who played for five different teams during his time in the NFL, said that he might not be able to take part in every snap but could certainly play a part in the 2014 season were he still playing.
"I can play in the NFL today," Walker told NFL.com. "I couldn't take every snap. But running backs nowadays don't play every down. Now they send in the choir section. Physically, I can still do it."
Walker was picked in the fifth round of the 1985 Draft, as the 114th selection overall.
