Chicago Bears wide receiver Sam Hurd was arrested earlier this week in Chicago on federal drug charges out of Dallas, Texas.
The 26-year-old has been accused of conspiring to possess and intent to distribute 1,000 pounds of marijuana and up to 10 kilograms of cocaine.
In addition, according to 670 The Score sports talk radio, police have obtained a list – said to be in the double digits – of NFL players supplied by Hurd. The receiver is believed to be among the biggest drug dealers in Chicago.
Hurd, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, has played primarily on special teams at Soldier Field this season.
