Former Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel has revealed that he tried to attempt as hard a workout as possible on his pro day on Thursday in order to secure a high Draft pick.
Manziel, who devised the workout with quarterback coach George Whitfield, said that he had to show the visiting scouts as much as possible in order to convince them that the hype over him was not over the top.
"We wanted to make it challenging," he told the Dallas Cowboys' website, who are strongly linked with the player.
"We wanted to show that we didn't have anything to hide and that we could come out here, go through our seven-step footwork, go through all the footwork that we thought these guys wanted to see."
There were representatives of 31 of the 32 clubs at Manziel's workout.
