The NFL team owners pass new rules for scores after touchdowns by moving the PAT kick back to the 15-yard line and altering the regulations on two-point conversions.

The NFL team owners have passed a series of new regulations in regards to scores after touchdowns for the 2015 season.

The PAT (point after touchdown) will be moved from the two-yard line back to the 15-yard line to increase the difficulty of the kick.

Meanwhile, the two-point conversion will remain at the two-yard line with the added incentive to the defense that they can score two points if they return the ball to the opposite end of the field for a touchdown.

NFL vice-president of officiating Dean Blandino told NFL Network: "The overall goal is to make the play more challenging, and to make it a more skilled play than what it was."

The decision was made at the meeting of the NFL owners in San Francisco.
