Oakland Raiders running back Maurice Jones-Drew has revealed his excitement over the appointment of Jack Del Rio as the new head coach of the franchise.
Del Rio and Jones-Drew have previously worked together in Jacksonville, and the former Jaguars star is confident that the new coach will be a success.
"I'm happy that coach Del Rio got a second chance," he told CSN Bay Area.
"He was a really good coach while I was with him in Jacksonville. With his mindset and the talent of this team, great things are on the way for this franchise."
However, after running for just 96 yards this season it is unclear if the 29-year-old will still be on the Raiders' roster for next season.
