Pittsburgh Steelers leave it late to beat the Oakland Raiders 38-35 at Heinz Field.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown had 284 yards receiving and DeAngelo Williams ran for 170 yards and two scores to help their side win 38-35 against the Oakland Raiders.

Oakland got themselves ahead early on after they stopped the Steelers on fourth down and a few plays later, quarterback Derek Carr found Michael Crabtree for the 22-yard completion and the first touchdown of the day.

Pittsburgh then put up three points thanks to a Chris Boswell field goal before Williams scored a touchdown on the next possession as he ran into the endzone from three yards out. The running back would dust himself off to convert a two-point attempt on the next play.

Rookie wide receiver Amari Cooper finally got himself involved in the game as he hauled in a 15-yard pass without a defender in sight to score the touchdown as his side regained the lead.

Williams got his second score of the game as he converted a fourth down into the endzone for the three-yard touchdown, before Boswell split the uprights again with his second field goal before the half to make it 21-14 to the home team.

The Steelers thought they had extended their lead after the break as they forced a fumble and ran it back for a touchdown but Mike Mitchell had ran out of bounds before he collected the football, so the score was correctly ruled out.

Carr notched up his third touchdown pass of the day as he threw it to Clive Walford past the goalline to tie up the scores midway through the third quarter.

Boswell had the chance to put Mike Tomlin's side back in front as the Steelers looked to capitalise on a Latavius Murray fumble but the kicker put his effort wide right of the posts.

Pittsburgh regained their lead in the fourth quarter after a 53-yard Williams run set up a Martavis Bryant touchdown, as the young receiver made several defenders miss to walk into the endzone.

The home team extended their advantage moments later as they forced a fumble from Taiwan Jones to lead to a Jesse James four-yard touchdown, the rookie's first ever NFL reception.

Jack Del Rio's team are not the ones to give up on a game and they pulled it back to a one-score deficit as Jamize Olawale ran it home from 19 yards out to make the scores 35-28 to Pittsburgh.

The away side had a chance to level things late after a muffed punt from Brown but Carr was intercepted in the endzone by Ross Cockrell.

Roethlisberger then had to be carted off the field with an ankle issue, another injury worry after Le'Veon Bell was ruled out for the season.

However, Carr would level things with just over a minute to go as the quarterback found Crabtree again for the 38-yard touchdown.

It was not enough as backup quarterback Landry Jones found Brown for a 57-yard pass play and Boswell hit the winning chip-shot field goal as time expired.

The victory moves the Steelers to 5-4 on the season while the Raiders drop to 4-4.
