San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has admitted that his move has given him the chance of a "fresh start".
Asomugha struggled in the past two seasons with former franchise Philadelphia Eagles and he has said that he is determined to prove himself in the NFL.
"I don't know that there's been a season where I didn't go in feeling like I had something to prove," Asomugha told reporters. "I've had a chip on my shoulder every year that I've played.
"I think, obviously, it's bigger this year because of the adversity I went through in Philadelphia. But it's always been a part of my game, coming in and showing what I can do and now being able to be here and start fresh with that, it's a great opportunity for that."
Asomugha has made 354 with 51 assists.
