Connor Barwin says that the players are behind Chip Kelly's decision to alter training days.

Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin has admitted that new coach Chip Kelly's revised training schedule will not take too much getting used to.

Kelly has changed training so that the players' day off is now Monday instead of Tuesday, and Barwin said that the players are fully behind the decision.

"There has to be some reason of recovery that he's doing it," Barwin told the club's official website. "Obviously we all trust in him and think it's going to work out.

"It kind of makes sense. You play on Sunday, you typically get the next day off. Usually, most teams have done it the opposite, they get Tuesday off, but that's just kind of been a tradition. Obviously we're going to move to having Mondays off.

"I think guys aren't really going to think about it that much. It's just one day. You get a day off and it's Monday instead of Tuesday and that's it. Guys aren't going to think about it."

Barwin, who is entering is fifth season, spent the previous four at Houston Texans.
