Philadelphia Eagles team president Don Smolenski has revealed that the team has discussed the possibility of switching back to its kelly green uniforms worn in 1995.
The team originally wore the uniforms since 1941, but changed tact during the 1990s. However, Smolenski has talked up hope of a return to their former strip, pending the impact of league protocols.
"We have talked about it and there are some rules with the NFL that provides some restrictions that we're trying to work through, but that's going to take some time," Smolenski told WIP-FM.
"It's there, and it's something that we do talk about, but until some things change at the NFL level it's going to provide restrictions for us. It is being talked about it, yes."
The Eagles will be looking to kick on from their last campaign next season, having made it through to the wildcard playoffs.
