Jonathan Dwyer has said that he is glad to have re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The running back was released when the team made their final roster cuts at the end of August, but rejoined the team earlier this week following injuries to Le'Veon Bell and LaRod Stephens-Howling.
The 24-year-old told the team's website: "I'm glad to be back, get an opportunity and take advantage of it. They just want me to come back and play the way I play, be consistent. That is what I want to do and do whatever I can to help our team.
"It was a crazy experience. I think I was shocked. But that is what happened. All you can do is move on from it and learn from it, learn from the whole process and apply it to your life. I am happy to be back.
"I know what I can do, what I bring to the team, the kind of player I am. I believe in my talents and obviously they believe in me if they brought me back."
Dwyer made 623 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns for the team last season.
