James Harrison: 'NFL, Roger Goodell will win Tom Brady deflategate dispute'

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison believes that Tom Brady is fighting a losing battle against the NFL and Roger Goodell over his deflategate suspension.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has revealed that he believes the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell will win the court case over Tom Brady's deflategate suspension.

The New England Patriots quarterback took the league to court over his dispute against his four-game ban for being generally aware that members of his side's equipment staff had deflated footballs in their AFC Championship win over the Indianapolis Colts.

However, Harrison feels that Brady is fighting a losing battle because of the power of Goodell and the collective bargaining agreement, which governs the NFL.

He told reporters: "I don't see what a federal judge can do with something the players signed in the collective bargaining agreement, which gives Roger Goodell [power] to do what he wants to.

"And if that's the case and he's going by the letter of what he says, there's nothing [a judge] can do."

Judge Richard Berman has revealed that he will make his decision over Brady's appeal this week.
