Jarvis Jones has said that he is working on improving him technique ahead of the 2013 NFL season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers used their first-round draft pick to acquire the linebacker, who made two tackles and a fumble recovery during his NFL debut against the New York Giants at the weekend.
The 23-year-old told the team's website: "I ran to the ball, hustled and had fun. I have a lot to improve on. I've got to better my technique, recognise plays much faster. There are things I need to improve on, things I did okay with.
"I felt like I didn't play as well as I could have. I didn't use my technique the way I should have. I didn't use great technique on a lot of plays. I went with the flow. I didn't change my technique.
"There is no margin of error. When you are out there you have to bring it. You have to be on point. You have to know what you are doing. It you don't, it shows up on tape."
During the 2012 college season, Jones made 85 tackles, 14.5 sacks and seven forced fumbles.
