Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a foot injury, according to reports.
Bell was forced to limp out of his side's 24-13 loss to the Washington Redskins earlier this week having taken part in just one series.
The rookie has undergone an MRI scan on the injury and, although coach Mike Tomlin is yet to formally reveal the extent of the problem, it is thought that Bell has suffered a Lisfranc injury.
The Steelers are understood to be waiting on a second opinion regarding the injury but have ruled Bell out of their pre-season match against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
If the injury is as bad as feared, Bell could miss the first four games of the regular season at least.
