Troy Polamalu and Heath Miller have both signed contract extensions with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The pair will remain with the franchise until 2016 after agreeing their new deals, something which owner Art Rooney II had stated he hoped would happen back in January.
With the Steelers keen to create cap space, Polamalu's cap number is down from $10.8m (£6.45m) to $6.3m (£3.77m), while Miller's 2014 cap is trimmed from $9.5m (£5.68m) to $6.1m (£3.69m), saving the team around $8m (£4.78m) altogether.
Safety Polamalu has been with the Steelers since being picked in the first round of the 2003 Draft, while tight end Miller was their first pick two years later.
Both men played key roles in the Super Bowl wins of 2006 and 2009.
