Anquan Boldin has said that the San Francisco 49ers have a lot a weapons on their roster.
Last season's Super Bowl runners-up will start the new campaign without their leading receiver from 2012, Michael Crabtree, while he continues to recover from an Achilles tear.
The wide receiver told reporters: "We have a lot of weapons that can make plays on the field. [Quarterback Colin Kaepernick] has a lot of guys he can go to, from running backs, to tight ends, to receivers. I think we have a lot of guys that create mismatch problems for defenses.
"[Rookie wide receiver Quinton Patton is] a quick learner. The guy is eager to go out and make a name for himself. You saw in the pre-season, he made plays.
"Nobody is going to lay down for you just because you were in the Super Bowl last year. It's the opposite. Everyone wants to beat you. We have to come out and play. We have to be on our best."
The 49ers begin their 2013 regular season against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
